Luminary Publishing was born in the summer of 1993, with the aim of nourishing and supporting the creative and cultural life of the Hudson Valley.

Through Upstate House, we seek to illuminate the Hudson Valley aesthetic through presenting those qualities, companies, and ideas that make this region home to so many sustainable, and progressive communities.

Upstate House was originally created in 2003 in order to serve the unique needs of the Hudson Valley's population of established and transplanted residents. Through this effort, we continue to endow our regions network of builders and developers, architects and real estate professionals, and small, independent and locally owned businesses with the ability to connect with the communities they serve.
